Mission Statement:

The purposes of the Home Owners Association (HOA) for Esprit at Stonebridge are threefold:

1. Provide coordination of effort to create a real neighborhood that creates unity among neighbors for a better quality of life.

2. To act as a liaison to local government and to broad services providers to discover possible zonal changes, major road projects affecting us, etc.

3. Maintaining and increasing property values through upkeep of our properties, our subdivision entrance, etc.

History:

Esprit at Stonebridge is our home.  Located off of Manhattan Blvd. in Harvey, Louisiana, this subdivision consist of 170 single dwelling homes bounded by Lake Lynn, Lake Powell, Lake Bernard, Lake Elizabeth and Tulleries Garden.  Phase I of the development included Lake Elizabeth Ct. and Lake Lynn, which began in July of 1994 with the first home constructed at 80 Lake Elizabeth Ct. in 1995.  Phase II of the development included Lake Bernard, Lake Powell and Tulleries Garden, which began in June of 1999 with the first home constructed at 26 Lake Bernard.  The total square footage of the homes in Esprit range between 2,200 and 3,600 square feet.  One really nice feature is that our neighborhood consists of only five streets and we are closed off from the rest of the area.  We are also co-located with Esprit at Stonebridge Condominiums, in which they were the first tenants to reside in our neighborhood prior to the single family homes being built.  The neighborhood is surrounded by the Link at Stonebridge Golf Course, which was totally renovated in 2004.

Event:

Tuesday, August 2nd, 2005 is National Night Out.  National Night Out is an annual nationwide event designed to strengthen neighborhood spirit and unity, raise crime prevention awareness, and develop partnerships in the neighborhood. It's a simple way for people to meet one another, have fun and explore how they might work together to improve the safety and quality of our neighborhoods. We will canvass the neighborhood during the National Night Out campaign asking for your support to get this association rolling.  We hope you'll join us on August 2nd.

Things to do for National Night Out:

1. Alert residents to turn on all of their outside
lights, front and back, at dusk the evening of August 2nd, and leave the lights on until early the next morning.
2. During that evening it is suggested that
residents get out and walk the streets, or ride bicycles and meet as many residents as possible!
3. Become familiar with other resident's vehicles,
bicycles and other property on their premises.
4. Get to know your neighbors, how many in their families, who is coming and
going, what yard services are used, maid services, construction services, etc.
5. Begin to build a picture of your neighborhood of
what belongs and does not belong so that you will be able to quickly identify and report what is out of place.
6. Set up lawn chairs in your driveway to meet
                  and greet your neighbors.

Critter Complaints. It is city ordinance to keep your animal on a leash and when we live so close together things can happen in a flash. Still have had complaints about owners letting animals run loose.

Do you have something to share with the neighbors? Please let us know what’s on your mind.  We welcome all suggestions.
